Beignets(New Orleans: History, Culture, and Places to See).

Beignets are commonly known in New Orleans as a breakfast served with powdered sugar on top. Our kids tried, Beignets in Disneyland. Kids liked it so we try to find it Bay Area. We found many restaurants in San Francisco who make Beignets. San Francisco is little far, but one Bakery on Castro we used to go is closed now. It is funny for so many years we were going to Castro Bakery we never pay attention what other things they have and never tried other things. I found one restaurant near Stanford village. Beignets are traditionally prepared right before consumption to be eaten fresh and hot. Variations of fried dough can be found across cuisines internationally. The origin of the term Beignet is specifically French. In the United States, Beignets have been popular within New Orleans Creole cuisine and are customarily served as a dessert or in some sweet variation:) New Orleans: History, Culture, and Places to See.
